Treatment of all types of diabetes
An important part of diabetes management and overall health is maintaining a healthy weight through a healthy diet and exercise program:
1. Healthy eating habits: Your diabetic diet is simply a healthy diet to help you manage your blood sugar. You need to focus your diet on more fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and whole grains.
These foods are high in nutrients and fiber and low in fat and calories. You will also reduce your intake of saturated fats, refined carbohydrates and sweets. In fact, it's the best meal plan for the whole family. It is normal to eat sugary foods from time to time. They should be counted as part of your meal plan.
Understanding what to eat and how much can be an undertaking. A dietitian can help you create a meal plan that fits your health goals, food preferences, and lifestyle. This may include carbohydrate counting, especially if you have type 1 diabetes or use insulin as part of your treatment.
2. Physical activity.
Everyone needs regular aerobic exercise.
This includes people with diabetes. Physical activity lowers blood sugar levels by moving sugar into cells to produce energy. Physical activity also makes your body more sensitive to insulin. This means your body needs less insulin to move sugar into your cells.

Then choose your favorite activity, such as walking, swimming or cycling. The most important thing is to incorporate physical activity into your daily life.
Aim for at least 30 minutes or more of moderate-intensity physical activity most days of the week, or at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity per week. Daytime operations can take several minutes. If you haven't exercised in a while, start slowly and work your way up.
Also, avoid prolonged sitting positions. If you've been sitting for more than 30 minutes, try getting up and moving around.
